Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip came to Parry Sound in Canada in 1959. I went with my parents to see them. We were too far back in the crowd for me, at age 5, to see. I worked my way through the crowd and stood at the front under the arm of the policeman who was holding the crowd in line. It was a thrill for me and a cherished memory. I pray for peace and comfort for all her family and a joyous reunion with Prince Phillip in a heavenly splendor of peace and rest. Long live the King!

I was born in England, moved to Canada with my family when I was 2. I have dual citizenship and feel very strongly about my British roots. In 1973 I was 8, and the Queen and Prince Phillip visited Regina, where we lived at the time. I remember excitedly lining up to see her, and as she passed by, she caught my eye and smiled. I will remember her as a strong, dignified and gracious ruler, and someone whom I’ve long admired and respected. She will forever be “my Queen”.
Your incredible service, kindness, and good heart have shown throughout your 70- year reign. The world has lost an amazing woman. Your Majesty, you will be dearly missed!
Rest in perfect peace.
I saw QE II when she came to Ottawa as Princess 1950. I stood in front of the Chateau Laurier Hotel. We as students received a coin when she became Queen I still have it. Great memories - such as colouring her beautiful gowns in a colouring book. This was common.
We sang God Save the Queen everyday students loved singing.
We are very thankful to have had such a wonderful Queen. I do remember you Father as King although I was young. God Bless Queen ELizabeth.
It is with heavy heart that we must say goodbye to our Queen who has served Britain and the Commonwealth faithfully and with quiet resolve through challenging times, longer than most have lived. She will remain the gold standard of what it is to be a leader that above all served the people. My family as long as our history goes back was either ruled directly or had the royal family as head of state and I will always be proud to remember her as my queen. God bless the King

My father named me after Queen Elizabeth when I was born in June 1952 few months after her reign began in February 1952. I have always admired her and loved being given the same name. I also feel fortunate to have had a glimpse of her in her car in 2002 on Marine Drive. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
I have long been a royal-enthusiast and semi-private supporter of Her Majesty the Queen, and I must say, that when I first heard the unfortunate news of Her Majesty's passing, I did not entirely believe it, and after I had confirmed, I, not usually being someone to show too much emotion, nearly cried twice. I offer my sincere condolences to the Royal Family.

My condolences for your tremendous loss. Her Majesty’s memory and legacy will live on in many people from all walks of life.
I'd like to offer my sincerest condolence to the Royal Family. I was fortunate to have seen the Queen only once, when she was visiting the Dartmouth, Nova Scotia City Hall in the 1970's when I was about 10 years old. I still remember what she wore (especially her hat, it was very chic). The Queen was a role-model in so many ways, and I found her recent video messages during the COVID era past few years to be supportive and uplifting in a time when we all needed that.
Her Majesty the Queen was unique, not only as a wise and beloved leader but also as a compassionate woman with understanding and tolerance -- with a core of humour and toughness when those were needed. We will all miss her, even those who may not realize their shared loss.
Admiration
Her Majesty the Queen was a stellar diplomat but also profound human being that has served both her people and her family. As an immigrant who have taken the pledge of allegiance to the Queen I would like to offer my condolences to both the commonweatlth and the royal family. As I always reminded myself, "each beginning has an ending and each ending sought a new chapter", may Her Majesty rest in peace and Her people be reminded of the compassion She showed the world.

My condolences to the Royal Family. My mother came to Canada in 1954 from England. She loved the Queen. It is a blessing to know my mom is meeting her in heaven now.

Our condolences to the family of Queen Elizabeth ll on her passing. Born in the 1950's we often sang 'God Save the Queen' to start each day of school and also in closing off Rememberance Day ceremonies held in school. We also have a 1959 Commemorative plate on the visit to Canada in opening the seaway. Our hugs and love are sent.
My deepest sympathies on the death of her majesty. She smiled well and often. RIP
