I remember as an adolescent listening on crackly short-wave radio to the speeches of Her Majesty in Zambia, which gave me a strong sense of identity, pride of heritage and courage. Thank you Your Majesty for your service to all mankind.

Mes condoléances à vos proches et tout vos sujets. C'est un règne d'une reine qui prend fin. Elle a fait honneur à la couronne avec ses plus de 70 ans de règne, et ce auprès de toutes les femmes.
I was born and raised in Edinburgh. My childhood was wrapped in pomp and circumstance. Whether you supported the monarchy or not, it was embedded in our culture and lives. Her passing has shaken me a bit more than I thought it would. I think because of what it represents. A true end of an era. The monarchy will never be the same, nor should it really. Things will change now and this will be another date to remember as time rolls back into history.
This is a very sad day the end of an Era Queen Elizabeth was a very special Lady I remember her Coronation and Wedding I was also honored to be at a luncheon with her and Prince Phillip through my Husband who was a Commissioner at the City of Toronto

How soon the darkness falls,
How long the shadows stretch
Upon the Palace walls
How cool the breezes feel,
On such a sunny day
As faces turn to hide the tears,

Your homes may have been distant or palatial, but it felt as if you resided in the ordinary living rooms of your many subjects and followers. In the decades I’ve lived, you’ve brought warm words to every cold Christmas morning; a splash of wit in a world which would become increasingly solemn with every birthday; and confident reassurance during the uncertainty of the pandemic. You were Mother to generations: to my grandparents, my parents, and to me. Rest in Peace.

In 1947 Queen, then Princess, Elizabeth took a personal oath for a life of service to her peoples. Queen Elizabeth honoured that oath faithfully and diligently to the last vital minute of her life. With heartfelt sympathy to her family, and with gratitude and deep respect... well done. GSTK

The only sovereign I've known and served under. A reassuring constant through years of political turmoil and strife. A moral standard that we can only strive towards. Your calming presence will forever be missed. The example you've set for current and future sovereigns and leaders is unattainable as only someone of your generation and longevity could have accomplished this. The world is a lesser place now. Thank you for having made the world a better place!
Thankyou for your service your magesty. Rest in peace
Thank You that You were. Our condolences from Saint-Petersburg. Rest in Peace
At 26 years old, I find myself reflecting on our beloved queens life. To be the same age as she was when she came to the throne, I have so much respect for her grace & courage. She will forever be an inspiration to me. Thank you for your service ma’am, you will be dearly missed
I turned 6 yrs old on the Queens coronation day. I've had a special affinity for her ever since. I wish to express my sincere sorrow at her passing. My thoughts and prayers are for her and all the royal family, especially King Charles III.
I have reflected on Queen Elizabeth’s claim that Prince Philip was her strength and stay and fell that she has been the strength and stay for the commonwealth and the world, a true constant in our lives for so many years. May you Rest In Peace . You will be truly missed.
I’m so sorry for the loss of one so beloved. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9,10,13) I am comforted to know that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II believed these verses.
Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth II. God bless the queen.
I served Canada, my Country, and my Soverign Queen for 20 years in the Algonquin Regiment of Canada.
Rest in Peace my Queen.
