It's a sad sad sad day. I didn't think I'd feel as bad as I do. I hope she's resting peacefully with her husband now. Thank you for all that you did for Canada. Rest easy my queen
Profound sadness on the loss of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty has been an incredible example of life, service and duty. Through good times and bad she was there. The Queen as Grand-Mother England, as she was the same age as my Grand-Mother and something my Grand-Mother and I bonded over. Her Majesty was an inspiration for a generation that came to age during WW2 and were living their lives. Truly sad. Deepest condolences to the King and the Royal Family. Long live the King.
Rest in peace

Words cannot express the sadness deep within. A lifetime of admiration has come to an end.
May the Queen rest in all of our hearts.
Joy will be replaced with memory and sorrow.
The world will be different without you
When King Charles III in his first address ended with a quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet. "Flights of angels send you to your rest.", I was reminded how much we, here, in Canada have been connected to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. And now will miss her. Even, as we carry on without her, I feel confident in King Charles III's ability to move the monarchy forward in a positive way.
Felt like losing my own mother again as they were near the same age. May she rest in peace.
Your Majesty,
As a First Nations individual, from the Kanien'kéha:ka people of Kahnàwa:ke, I am grateful for our relationship with the Crown. Your steady hand and sage leadership has been deeply appreciated. You will forever be in my prayers, and I wish you well as you travel on to Paradise. Thank you, Your Majesty – for everything. I love you, and I will miss you.

I send my deep condolences to each member of Queen Elizabeth II's family. An icon in our time she will be sadly missed for many years to come. When I was 11 years old, Princess Elizabeth toured Canada by train and stopped in Salmon Arm. I was a Brownie and she stood only 2 feet from me and talked with us. I was so impacted by her radiant beauty. I will never forget that moment. I am so sorry she is no longer with us. May she rest in peace with her beloved husband.
Farewell, Your Majesty. It was an honour to serve you,
Sam Hanson (retired ambassador)

A truly great woman whom my mother met in the rubble of war torn London during the Blitz of WWII. Then Princess Elizabeth she accompanied her father King George to offer encouragement to the people of London. Even then, courageous, genuine and at ease in the most troubling times. My condolences to the Royal family. Queen Elizabeth II was a unique person, dedicated to serving the people of Britain and the Commonwealth. May she rest in peace. I came to Canada in 1956 from the Netherlands to Kingston, Ont. My father saw her at the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1959.

My grandparents attended both the marriage and the coronation of QEll. Granny kept a diary of those events and I have the actual invitation and booklet that indicated where dignitaries were to sit as well as the entire service. A magnificent memento of our Queen’s glorious reign.

The 25th anniversary of the coronation of the Queen was the year I was born. My father chose my middle name after the Queen. Her passing marks the end of a historic rein.
With the grace of God she ruled and guided us.
With the grace of God she left us.
Sadly, she shall be missed.
Queen Elizabeth ll, a born leader that all persons could benefit from should they attempt to emulate her poise and intelligence. She always reminded me of my own mother and my love for both will never be fade.
