Development of digital skills
SSC has created 2 optional learning programs to deepen digital skills for its employees. These proactive learning streams help SSC build a flexible, top-of-the-line and adaptable workforce. Our IT employees can not only develop and maintain their IT skills but also expand their expertise in other IT domains to address the rapid and evolving changes in technologies. This enables SSC to meet the growing demand for innovative services.
As a leader in the industry, SSC supports the ongoing growth of its employees and fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Discover how SSC supports the development of digital skills:
- Digital Enterprise Skilling Program (DES)
This program provides SSC employees with the knowledge and skills required to improve the delivery of IT services and adapt to the workforce needs of the future. DES builds, curates and delivers foundational and technical training for all SSC employees on topics such as:
- cloud
- robotic process automation
- artificial intelligence
- cyber security
- data analytics
- IT Professionals Development Program (IT PRO)
This program is geared toward indeterminate and term SSC employees with IT credentials. It offers a variety of learning opportunities that are designed to address community-identified needs, supporting managers and employees to pursue meaningful careers with SSC.
They will be joined by the Canada School of Public Service Digital Academy, which provides public servants with the skills and knowledge they need to deliver digital-era programs, policies and services.
