Commissioner’s Directive (CD) 750 has been amended to reflect technical changes as a result of the development of Guidelines (GL) 750-2 – Management of Interfaith Sacred Space.
Guidelines 750-2 have been created to ensure the consistent designation and effective management of sacred space at CSC institutions.
How were they developed?
The CD was amended by the Chaplaincy Section of the Reintegration Services Division jointly with Strategic Policy.
Guidelines 750-2 were developed by the Chaplaincy Section of the Reintegration Services Division in consultation with the Interfaith Committee on Chaplaincy, and Strategic Policy.

Who will be affected by the policies?
Those affected by the policies include:
- staff and contractors responsible for the management and provision of chaplaincy services
- Institutional Heads responsible for the oversight of operations and management and maintenance of sacred space
- volunteers and faith community resource persons involved in chaplaincy activities.
