Acts, Regulations and Policy
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community. CSC operates under the rule of law and in particular, the Corrections and Conditional Release Act, which provides its legislative framework. CSC also has a variety of directives and regulations to exercise reasonable, safe, secure and humane control.
