Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat memo to all civilian and regular members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police regarding pay equity
The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, on behalf of the Treasury Board, is filing a request with the Office of the Pay Equity Commissioner to extend the deadline to post a final pay equity plan for members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. This means that Treasury Board Secretariat is asking for more time to complete the pay equity plan. If we are granted an extension, lump sum payments and interest amounts must be calculated and paid to employees in a predominantly female job class for which an increase in compensation is owed. All amounts become payable in full the day after the posting of the final pay equity plan by the new deadline.
Workplace parties will be given the opportunity to submit representations on this request. Please see additional information below.
Unionized employees
If you are a unionized employee, a representative of your Bargaining Agent will be provided with the request materials and will be given the opportunity to submit a representation on your behalf. Please contact your Bargaining Agent for additional information.
