Ways to submit your complaint

If you have reached this page, you are ready to submit a service complaint about the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Before you submit your complaint

  • Do not provide any additional documents. An officer will review your complaint and determine if more documents are needed.

If you are submitting a complaint on behalf of someone else, please select "Mail or Fax", as you will need to fill out our complaint form, OMB100, to become an authorized representative.

Online

Our online complaint form is the fastest and most secure way to submit your complaint.

For security reasons, there is 60 minute time limit. It is recommended that you have the details of your complaint prepared before starting the application to reduce the risk of losing the information you have entered.

Privacy Notice

The Office of the Taxpayers’ Ombudsperson collects personal information to carry out the Ombudsperson's mandate under Order in Council P.C. 2020-0703, including to process complaints and to identify and review systemic issues.

Personal information will be shared with the CRA for the purpose of reviewing service matters under existing information-sharing agreements and may also be used for follow-up and evaluation purposes.

Personal information is collected under the authority delegated to the Ombudsperson under Order in Council P.C. 2020-0703.

Under the Privacy Act, individuals have the right to access, request corrections of their personal information, or to file a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada regarding the handling of their personal information.
