Delays — Processing incoming complaints and examinations

We are currently experiencing delays. At this time we are processing complaints received for the week of September 9 to 13, 2024. There is also a 90 day delay in assigning cases requiring an examination. If you feel that your situation is urgent, please contact us.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

At the Office of the Taxpayers' Ombudsperson, we are committed to providing you the best possible service.


Our goal is to:

  • contact you within five business days after receiving your complaint, 95% of the time
  • complete an examination of your complaint within 120 business days of it being assigned to an examination officer, 80% of the time
