Integrity and service excellence
All CRA employees – executives, managers, temporary and permanent employees, and students – play a role in ensuring that the CRA administers programs in a helpful, fair, transparent, and accurate manner. This is how we enhance trust, influence compliance, and contribute to the ongoing economic and social well-being of Canada.
We serve with integrity guided by the Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector and CRA corporate policy instruments such as the Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct (Code) and the Directive on Conflict of Interest (Directive).
The Code describes what it means to act in accordance with CRA and public sector values. It also outlines rules, including laws and policies, that direct employee conduct, promote compliance, and address misconduct.
As for the Directive, it helps us to prevent, identify, and manage situations that could give rise to a real, apparent, or potential conflict of interest.
We are the CRA, and this is how we work.
