10 weeks. This processing time doesn’t include the time it takes to give biometrics.
You may be eligible for the Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot (FMCSP) depending on
- your citizenship
- if you’re a French-speaker
- where you choose to go to school
- if you’re interested in remaining in Canada as a permanent resident after you complete your studies
As a participant in the pilot, you
- will have access to settlement services during your studies
- may be eligible for permanent residence soon after completing your studies
