(a) less than 15% of the daily value of sugars per reference amount and per serving of stated size, and per 50 g if the reference amount is 30 g or 30 mL or less; or

(b) less than 30% of the daily value of sugars per serving of stated size, if the food is a prepackaged meal or a main dish with a serving of stated size of 200 g or more.

(4) The similar reference food
(a) contains an added sugars-based ingredient or an ingredient containing a sugars-based ingredient; and

(b) does not meet the conditions set out in column 2 of item 37.1 for the subject "low in sugars" set out in column 1.
