The China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED): global climate change cooperation
The China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) was created in 1992. It is an international advisory body that strengthens cooperation between China and the international community on environmental and sustainable development policies.
The CCICED is made up of approximately 30 Chinese and 40 international members from:
- governments
- international institutions
- corporations
- research organizations
- academia
- civil society
Members provide policy advice to support Chinese efforts on environmental issues.
