Register for Grants and Contributions Online Services

The Grants and Contributions Online Services (GCOS) is the accessible online funding portal of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

Registering your organization for a GCOS account is a one-time process that allows you to:

• securely apply for ESDC funding opportunities online
• track the application status of all your applications
• sign agreements, manage active projects and send documents
• review past applications and projects submitted through GCOS

How can I access GCOS

GCOS is available through Canada.ca and is compatible with:

• online browsers
• mobile devices

What you will need to register for GCOS

1. An online banking account with a trusted Sign-In Partner or a Government of Canada GCKey
2. A personal Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) My Account or access to an in-person Service Canada Centre
3. An active email address
4. Your organization's CRA Business Number and information, including its legal name and address

How to register for a GCOS account

To register for a GCOS account you will need to:

1. go to the GCOS login page
2. under Register, choose to register for an account using your personal online banking sign-in information or your GCKey
3. register your organization using its Business Number and information
4. validate your relationship with your organization and your identity using your personal CRA My Account information or by visiting an in-person Service Canada Centre
5. complete the registration of your GCOS profile using the authentication code sent by Service Canada to your provided email address. This provides you with access to all the features of GCOS

Note: Once your GCOS profile has been registered, Service Canada will mail a letter to the head of your organization to inform them of your GCOS account.

How to register for a GCOS account

You can begin applying for funding opportunities online as soon as your GCOS profile is created. However, you will need to complete the registration process to activate your account and to have access to all the benefits that GCOS offers. You can subscribe to receive regular email notifications of new funding opportunities available at ESDC.
