Description
Benefits Delivery Modernization (BDM) is an investment programme. Its goal is to put in place processes and technology that will enable the department to provide a smooth client experience to Canadians. The programme will facilitate access to Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS) benefits.
BDM represents the longer view and value added component of the department's service transformation approach. It focuses on improving client service through new ways of doing and modern commercial applications.
Project outcomes
The BDM includes investments in new ways of doing, technology renewal and policy simplification. This should help deliver on commitments to streamline applications and reduce wait times. This should also improve the department's ability to meet service standards.
