As Canada’s Veterans evolve,  so too should the ways we commemorate them. Earlier this year, Veterans Affairs Canada introduced a broadened approach to commemoration that aims to recognize all those who have served our country in uniform, here at home and around the world. We invite all Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, their families and members of the Defence Team to complete a short survey before 12 July 2021 at Let’s Talk Veterans and tell us what you think.

For decades, we have marked key milestones of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War with ceremonies and events at home and abroad. Moving forward, we will place more emphasis on international security, peace support and humanitarian efforts, and domestic operations here at home.

It’s time to explore innovative ways to recognize all Veterans. We want to engage with Canadians and see how they would like to remember and pay tribute to Veterans, those currently serving and those who died for our country.

Your input will ensure our remembrance programming evolves and remains relevant to CAF members and to all Canadians for years to come. Please share your ideas and thoughts on the best way to commemorate moving forward.

Canada remembers.
