National Launch of the 2024 NDWCC Campaign

Join us on September 12, 2024 at HMCS Carleton as we kick off the national launch of the 2024 National Defence Workplace Charitable Campaign (NDWCC). Come be a part of one of the largest and most successful campaigns of the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC). We have over 1000+ volunteers across Canada working to make a difference in our communities.

Every dollar raised makes a significant positive difference to Canadians in need. The goal for this year’s NDWCC is to be 100% canvassed and to raise over $2 million dollars for the various charities that the Defence Team Supports.

The NDWCC provides Defence Team members with a direct line to donate to over 87,000 registered charities. Many of these charities have strong ties to Canada’s military or provide support to military families, while others focus on supporting diversity awareness, Mental Health, Homelessness, and many other initiatives that concern Defence Team members. All of these charities depend on campaigns like the NDWCC to provide continued support towards these important initiatives. Topics covered will be an introduction to the campaign, a message from this year’s NDWCC Champion, LGen E.J. Kenny, Commander RCAF, as well as speakers from GCWCC, United Way, Centraide d’Outaouais and Health Partners, the named recipients of the campaign.

In the NCR, the VCDS Canoe Race is taking place beforehand as a launch event, and we encourage other Bases, Wings, and L1s to organize an event dedicated to the launch of this year’s campaign season.
