
2024 NDWCC Recognition and Closing Ceremony

You are cordially invited to attend the 2024 NDWCC Recognition and Closing Ceremony.
This year, our NDWCC Champion, LGen Eric Kenny, Commander RCAF, and Co-Champion, Mrs. Judith Bennett, AADM(Mat) and our Youth Champion, Raphaelle Robidoux, SA DTO, will be coming together to reflect on our charitable giving efforts, and what the Defence Team has achieved for NDWCC 2024. Joining us on this special occasion will be representatives from United Way, Centraide and Health Partners to discuss the importance of charitable organizations and how campaign likes NDWCC make a big impact on the community.
Join us in person or virtually! Your presence is important to us as we will be thanking all our volunteers for their dedication and hard work, as well as recognizing those who have distinguished themselves through their outstanding contributions to the Campaign.

You can nominate an individual or team for their hard work or outstanding performance during the campaign, by completing the attached for in MS Forms. Nominations are due by noon on 10 January 2025.
Awards: There are 9 categories of awards for the 2024 NDWCC.
- Most Enthusiastic Region: This Wing, Base or Ship showed enthusiasm, motivation and initiative. The initiatives that they have implemented within their lines has made for an exciting and motivating environment which led them achieving their goals of being 100% canvassed, but also surpassing their financial fundraising goal.

Winner: CFB Esquimalt - Most Enthusiastic L1: This organization showed enthusiasm, motivation and initiative. The initiatives that they have implemented within their lines has made for an exciting and motivating environment which led them achieving their goals of being 100% canvassed, but also surpassing their financial fundraising goal.
*This will be selected by the Champions
Winner: ADM(PA) - Charity Cheerleader Award: This award is given to an individual who consistently displayed a positive attitude and demonstrated a willingness to work with others and assist whenever needed or requested. This individual lives in the spirit of volunteerism and helped to promote a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment.
Winner: Natalie Pieda - Collaborative Genius Award: This award is given to the team that collaborated the most effectively with others. This team orchestrated fundraising efforts with finesse by encouraging participation and openness, while also sharing responsibility, resources, and credit.
Winner: DSPCOS - Innovative Event(s) Award: This award is given to the individual or team that had the most innovative ideas and took their events to the next level. Their innovative contributions to the campaign have unlocked a previously unexplored area for growth.
Winner: PO1 Randy Melanson - Rising Star Award: This award recognizes one young or new professional who has made a significant and meaningful contribution to the NDWCC. Through creative ideas and inspired action, they contribute to the NDWCC’s visibility and reinforce its value proposition for young and new employees. They make a positive difference by modelling and reflecting a spirit of community, openness and generosity.
Winner: MCpl Alexander Gourde - Platinum Service Award: This award recognizes an individual who has consistently supported the NDWCC in various ways throughout their career. This individual has been dedicated to raising awareness and money for the NDWCC over many years.
Winner: Donald Neville - Sidekick Salute Award: This award is given to an individual who exhibited commitment to quality in carrying out job responsibilities and is an asset to their team lead. They are willing to take initiative and carries out additional responsibilities beyond regular job assignments.
Winner: MWO Jean-Philippe Menard - Honourable Mention: This honorable mention will be given to a team or individual whose contribution to the NDWCC does not necessarily fit into one of the awards above, but you believe they deserve to be recognized.
