Radon: Testing your home
Questions? Contact us at 1-833-723-6600.
There are two options for testing a house for radon:
- Purchase a do-it-yourself radon test kit
- Hire a radon measurement professional
It is important that you conduct a long-term test for a minimum of 3 months.
If you choose to purchase a do-it-yourself radon test kit, make sure you follow the instructions provided on how to set up the test.
If you choose to purchase an electronic radon monitor (ERM), make sure you choose one that has passed the C-NRPP performance testing for conducting long-term radon measurements in homes.
If you choose to hire a service provider to perform the radon test in your house, it is recommended that you ensure they are certified and will conduct a long-term test for a minimum of 3 months.
