Backgrounder – Government of Canada announces funding for 2SLGBTQI+ communities on the one-year anniversary of the Action Plan

On August 27, 2023, Women and Gender Equality Canada announced up to $1.9 million from 2SLGBTQI+ Community Capacity Fund to support the growth, sustainability, and leadership of the 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations in advocating for and serving the communities they represent.The following 2SLGBTQI+ organizations in the Ottawa region will receive funding:

Capital Rainbow Refuge - Refuge Arc-en-ciel de la capitale

Amount: up to $403,861

Gay Ottawa Volleyball

Amount: up to $20,000
