Ceremony to mark 75th anniversary of V-J Day and launch of 2020 Veterans’ Week poster

Halifax, NS – The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will deliver remarks and lay a wreath at a ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of V-J Day and the end of the Second World War. Following the ceremony, Minister MacAulay will unveil this year’s Veterans’ Week poster marking the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

Media and guests are asked to respect physical distancing guidelines from the Chief Medical Officer of Health. Wearing masks is strongly encouraged especially when not able to maintain physical distance.
