Minister of Transport to make announcement on the Government of Canada’s commitment to the environment and the economy

YELLOWKNIFE, NORTHWEST TERRITORIES – The Minister of Transport, the Honourable Omar Alghabra, will provide details on how Budget 2022 will help Canada continue to lead in global efforts to fight climate change, protect nature and build a clean economy.
Minister Alghabra will be available to answer questions from the media following the announcement.

In line with the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Government of Northwest Territories health measures, advice and/or restrictions, in-person attendance will be controlled.
Members of the media are asked to arrive by 9:45 a.m. MDT to register with reception and to provide photo identification along with proof of COVID-19 vaccination, which is required to access Det’on Cho Logistics. Wearing a face covering is mandatory. Members of the media may also be required to wear protective equipment provided by Det’on Cho Logistics.
We ask people who have recently received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19, who are awaiting test results, who have recently been exposed to COVID-19, or are experiencing symptoms as described on Health Canada's website, not to attend.
