David Saint-Jacques to talk science with Canadian students

Speech

Beaumont, Alberta, April 12, 2019 – On April 17, live from the International Space Station, Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut David Saint-Jacques will connect with more than 700 students who are participating in the Living Space project at École Champs Vallée School. Students will present their experience in science and coding and then have the opportunity to ask David questions.

Former CSA astronaut Dr. Robert Thirsk will take part in the event.

Living Space was developed by Let's Talk Science in collaboration with the CSA and expanded with support from CanCode. Through this unique project that integrates science, space and coding, over 63,000 students across the country are learning about the role environmental factors play in the health and well-being of Canadian students in their classrooms, and astronauts aboard the Space Station.

Media representatives who are unable to attend the event can watch it live (or watch the video afterwards) on the CSA's YouTube channel.
