MyGCPay

External access is now available to all public servants

External access was previously restricted to certain employees, such as those on leave or retired. As of January 20, 2025, we have lifted the restrictions and it is now available to everyone.

MyGCPay is a secure web application which provides a simpler, centralized view of your pay, benefits and human resource information (if you are in a department serviced by MyGCHR). It does not replace other human resources and pay tools, such as the Phoenix pay system. Instead, it pulls information from various sources into one application.

Internal access

If you have access to a Government of Canada network (such as a virtual private network (VPN)), it is strongly recommended that you use internal access.

To use internal access, you will first need to validate your identity by:

  • accessing the application via a Government of Canada (GC) network
  • providing your myKEY username and password
  • providing your Personal Record Identifier (PRI) — Lost or forgotten PRI?
Sign in via a GC network

External access

External access is not available when connected to a GC network. Links to Phoenix or the Compensation Web Application (CWA) within MyGCPay will not work (for example, to change your section 34 manager or view archived tax slips).

To use external access, you must first validate your identity by:

Help with your account

Keep your personal information safe
  • Be aware of your surroundings when you enter passwords and security codes in public
  • Don't give out or share passwords or security codes online or over the phone, even with family
  • Log off or sign out of accounts and websites when you are finished; don't just close your browser
Change your sign-in partner

If you've moved to a new bank or credit union, and already sign in through Interac® Sign-in Partner, you may be able to switch:

  • select Switch My Sign-in Partner from the menu on the Select a Sign-in Partner page
Avoid technical problems

For the best experience, you need to:

  • use the latest version of Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome (other browsers compatible with HTML5 and CSS3 may work but are not officially supported by MyGCPay)
  • enable cookies and JavaScript
  • use a computer
Technical support

If you're experiencing technical problems, try:

  • refreshing your browser
  • clearing your cache, deleting your cookies and internet history
  • restarting your computer

Note: Public Services and Procurement Canada's Client Contact Centre cannot offer technical support for any difficulties related to your personal devices, internet provider and software suppliers.

Services available in MyGCPay

Use MyGCPay to:

  • view your pay stubs and tax slips, notice pay issues earlier and report them
  • view benefits information
  • view employment information and print your proof of employment
  • monitor enquiries submitted to the Pay Centre
  • access your leave balances and current work schedule (if you are in a department serviced by MyGCHR)
