Specific arrangement for sub-delegation to civilian and regular members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
The Deputy Head of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) may sub-delegate his/her appointment and appointment-related authorities to any civilian and regular members of the RCMP.
This arrangement is effective April 1, 2016, with the following terms and conditions:
- The Deputy Head of the RCMP will remain accountable to the Public Service Commission (PSC) for all appointment and appointment-related decisions made by any civilian and regular members of the RCMP under this specific arrangement.
- It is understood that the civilian and regular members of the RCMP will complete the required staffing training as identified in the RCMP’s sub-delegation instrument, before they may be sub-delegated appointment and appointment-related authorities.
- Authorities will be sub-delegated and exercised in accordance with the Appointment Delegation and Accountability Instrument and any conditions, limitations and/or restrictions imposed by the PSC.
- As part of their organizational monitoring, the RCMP is expected to monitor the use of sub-delegated authorities by the civilian and regular members of the RCMP under this specific arrangement.
