MP Chahal to announce federal investments to advance quantum technologies in Alberta

October 2, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta – George Chahal, Member of Parliament for Calgary Skyview, on behalf of the Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan, will announce federal support for strategic investments aimed at growing quantum-ready technologies, companies and talent to solidify Alberta’s global leadership in this emerging sector.

Joining MP Chahal will be Dr. Ed McCauley, President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Calgary; David Chang, Director of Innovation and Partnerships, University of Alberta; Christopher Cassin, CEO, Zero Point Cryogenics; and Dr. Megan Lee, Managing Director of Quantum City, University of Calgary.
