Visitors planning their 2018 summer vacations should mark their calendars

Visitors planning to vacation in Terra Nova National Park this year can reserve a campsite at Newman Sound and Malady Head campgrounds as well as backcountry campsites for the 2018 season starting Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. NL Time.
Information on camping and accommodations including oTENTiks at Terra Nova National Park is available on the park’s website.
The Government of Canada is celebrating families with free admission to all Parks Canada’s places for youth 17 and under in 2018 and beyond. Parks Canada invites Canadian families and their children to experience the outdoors and learn more about our environment and heritage.

Terra Nova National Park protects the area where the North Atlantic Ocean touches the Island boreal forest of Eastern Newfoundland. The landscape of the park varies from the rugged cliffs and sheltered inlets of the coastal region to the rolling forested hills, bogs and ponds of the inland. Cultural history abounds in the remnants of sawmills and ancestral cultures.
