It’s already time to plan your camping trip at La Mauricie National Park! Parks Canada is expecting increased demand this year as the Government of Canada is celebrating the country’s 150th anniversary with free entry to all Parks Canada sites. Visitors are thus invited to make their camping reservations early.

Visitors looking to reserve a campsite, a canoe-camping site or an oTENTik at La Mauricie National Park for the 2017 season can do so starting Wednesday, January 18, at 8:00 a.m. Reservations can be made online (www.reservation.parkscanada.gc.ca) or by telephone at 1 877 RESERVE (1 877 737-3783).

Parks Canada continues to improve its visitor offerings across the country with its $3 billion federal infrastructure investment over 5 years, the largest in its history. At La Mauricie National Park, in addition to the snack bar in the Shewenegan picnic area that was renovated in 2015, there will be new service buildings in certain camping loops for campers. Arrival at the park through the Saint-Mathieu entrance will be more fluid thanks to the reconfiguration completed in 2016.

Infrastructure work will be continuing in 2017 and all efforts will be made to minimize impacts on visitors. The Parkway's makeover will continue throughout the summer and, as such, we are asking visitors to regularly check our website (www.pc.gc.ca/mauricie) and to follow us on social media (www.facebook.com/MauricieNP) to get up-to-date information on the work.

Canada’s national parks are gateways to nature, adventure and discovery. Parks Canada brings iconic Canadian experiences within your reach through reasonable rates and a range of camping options.
