Ottawa, Ontario, May 13, 2021— Members of the media are invited to an important announcement by the Government of Canada and Community Foundations of Canada on the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative.
In attendance will be:
- The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities
- Andy Fillmore, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities and Member of Parliament for Halifax
- Will Amos, Member of Parliament for Pontiac
- Melanie Thomas, Vice President of Community Foundations of Canada
- Mary Rowe, President, and CEO of the Canadian Urban Institute
- Kolade Kolawole-Boboye, Founding Member and Director of Alumni Youth of Hope Blooms
- John McDonnell, Executive Director of Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, Ottawa Valley Chapter
The announcement will be immediately followed by a panel discussion featuring partners who have been working on the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative, including:
