June 2, 2015
KINGSTON, ONTARIO — The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, today announced a $25 million investment at CFB Kingston, and the nearby Kingston Armoury.
This investment will support the building of a new Peace Support Training Centre which will provide advanced training for the Canadian Armed Forces, other government departments assigned to conflict zones around the world. Training at the new centre will include pre-deployment training, Peace Support Operator Course and the Civil–Military Cooperation Operator Course.
Through the $25 million investment, improvements will also be made to the military quarters on the base and at the nearby Kingston Armoury in support of the Canadian Armed Forces, and to help spur job creation and economic growth for the Kingston area.
