OTTAWA, May 10, 2014 - The Honourable Steven Blaney, Canada's Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, made the following statement today regarding injuries sustained by three members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police while on duty in St. Paul, AB, on Friday night:
"My thoughts and prayers are with the three injured RCMP members and their families. I join all Canadians in wishing them a quick and full recovery.
This incident is yet another reminder of the dangers faced by members of our law enforcement community who work each day to keep our country safe."
