The Canadian Government is proud to assist the music industry, from creators to audience. Each year, the Government invests more than $30 million dollars in the Canadian sound recording industry. In 2005-06, the Canada Music Fund and Trade Routes Program at Canadian Heritage awarded $150 000 to the and Conference.
Atlantic Canada is home to some of Canada most talented music artists. Every year, through the , Canadians can enjoy the sound and rhythm of the music from Atlantic Canada. More than 2,000 music performers and distributors are in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island for the 18th Anniversary of the and Conference. This five-day celebration of music showcases Atlantic Canada's music to Canada and abroad.
Canadian music reflects our diversity. It entertains and enriches us, reflecting our experiences and representing us around the world. Canadians are fortunate to be exposed to this rich talent through our airwaves.
