AIR OPS CAPABILITY & SUSTAINABILITY

Operationally capable up to Seas State 5 and shipboard hangar capable of 2 x CH-148 Cyclone Helicopters and support to Second-line Maintenance for Naval Task Groups.

4 X NAVAL REMOTE WEAPON STATIONS

Remotely controlled .50 cal machine guns that have stabilization and electro-optical fire control. They can automatically track targets to enhance self-defence capabilities. 

2 X CLOSE-IN WEAPON SYSTEMS (CIWS)

A multi-barrel, computer controlled gun system (20mm ammunition at 4,500 rounds/minute) that can destroying close in threats such as missiles and small boats.

STOWAGE CAPACITY 

Ability to carry a wide array of supplies, eg. Food, Water, Spare Parts, Ammunition, and other supplies including light vehicles and equipment for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. Can carry up-to sixty 20 foot sea containers on deck.  

REPLENISHMENT AT SEA 

The ship will be outfitted with 2 x Dual Purpose RAS Stations, with the ability to conduct replenishments at sea (liquid or solids) using high line span wire.

BOW THRUSTER 

Enhances maneuverability during mooring and anchoring, in harbour, and reducing the need for tug support during berthing/slipping.

MARITIME HOSPITAL

Ability to perform triage, resuscitation and treatment of shock. Enhanced capability for primary surgery, Surgical and Medical intensive care, nursed beds and primary dental care.

SEA TO SHORE CONNECTOR

A self-propelled reconfigurable, 12-section modular transport system for locations lacking adequate port facilities.

CARGO FUEL & OIL

Able to hold 7917 tonnes (max) of F76 marine diesel and 1319 tonnes (max) of F44 aviation fuel. This can enable a Naval Task Force to stay on mission for more than 30 days (on average) depending on the mission.
