# 2015-152 Careers, Remedial Measures, Training Failure, Training Review Board
Case Summary
F&R Date: 2016–03–15
The grievor claimed that inadequate training materials, inconsistent standards and biased supervision unfairly compromised her On the Job Training (OJT) and that a subsequent Training Review Board (TRB) failed to address her concerns. As redress, the grievor sought to be granted the OJT training qualification and a retroactive promotion.
The Initial Authority (IA) agreed that the OJT training materials had some significant shortcomings. However, the IA found that the TRB treated the grievor fairly by correcting the deficiencies and then offering to extend the grievor's OJT period through an attached-posting at another base.
The Committee found no evidence of biased supervision. The Committee also found that the TRB was conducted in accordance with applicable policy and that its recommendations were reasonable and justified in light of the evidence provided.
The Committee recommended that the grievance be denied.
