Government of Canada invests up to $37 million to bring high-speed Internet and mobile connectivity to more than 5,000 homes in Saskatchewan

Backgrounder

On March 17, 2023, the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development, announced up to $37 million in funding to bring high-speed Internet access and mobile connectivity to over 5,000 homes in areas across Saskatchewan.

The areas that will benefit from improved Internet speeds include:

  • Northern Saskatchewan
  • Saskatoon–Biggar
  • Regina–Moose Mountain
  • Prince Albert
  • Yorkton–Melville
