Who can apply

To be eligible for a PR card, you must

• be a permanent resident of Canada
• be in Canada (because we don’t mail PR cards outside Canada)
• not have lost your PR status by, for example
  • being issued a removal order
  • becoming a Canadian citizen or
  • failing to meet residence requirements
