How to get a police certificate - Tajikistan
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.
Name of the document you need
Reference certificate on presence or absence of criminal records (Spravka, o nalichii libo otsutstvii sudimosti)
Police certificate and IRCC requirements
You must provide a police certificate when you apply for:
- permanent residence
- citizenship
- some temporary residence programs
Check your application package or instructions for details.
How to apply
If you live in Tajikistan
Apply in person at your local police station and ask for your certificate to be issued by
- the information centre of the Ministry of Interior in Dushanbe or
- an information centre in your region (Sogdyiskaya, Khatlonskaya or Gorno-Badakhshanskaya)
You may also give a representative power of attorney to apply on your behalf.
If you live outside of Tajikistan
Apply at the Consular Section of your nearest Embassy of Tajikistan.
Information and documents you need
- application form
- valid passport
- power of attorney (if you’re applying on someone’s behalf)
- applicable fees
Special considerations
The police certificate must indicate all names you have used while in Tajikistan.
The embassy only accepts original police certificates. Printouts of online search results and electronic certificates are not accepted.
