How to get a police certificate – Kuwait
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

Police certificate and IRCC requirements
IRCC will send you a letter requesting a police certificate after you send your Application for Permanent Residence. You must bring that letter when you apply for a Police Certificate.
How to apply
If you live in Kuwait:
You must apply in person OR ask a representative (a friend, relative or colleague) in Kuwait, with a power of attorney, to apply on your behalf and bring:
- The letter from the Embassy of Canada requesting the Good Conduct Certificate
- One photograph (4 × 6 cm)
- A copy of your passport and ID card
If you live outside of Kuwait:
You can:
- Return to Kuwait and apply in person OR ask a representative (a friend, relative or colleague) in Kuwait, with a power of attorney, to apply on your behalf
- Apply at your nearest Kuwaiti Embassy or consulate
You or your representative must bring:
- The letter from the Embassy of Canada requesting the Good Conduct Certificate
- A copy of your passport and ID card
- Two photographs (4 × 6 cm)
- Applicable fees
