How to get a police certificate - Curaçao
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.
Name of the document you need
Certificate of Good Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag [VOG])
You can only get this document if you’re on the Population Register of Curaçao.
Police certificate and IRCC requirements
You must provide a police certificate when you apply for:
- permanent residence
- citizenship
- some temporary residence programs

How to apply
If you live in Curaçao
Request a Certificate of Good Conduct at the Permits Counter (see the full address below). You don’t need an appointment.
If you live outside of Curaçao
Request a Certificate of Good Conduct by mail or email (vog.vl@gobiernu.cw).
