Service Delivery Improvement funding
The settlement Service Delivery Improvement (SDI) funding initiative lets IRCC invest in projects that research improvements to settlement service delivery.
By funding these projects, we can make better choices about how to improve our settlement programs.

Types of projects funded through Service Delivery Improvement
Through SDI funding, we invest in short-term projects (1 to 3 years) that test and research new ways of delivering settlement services.
We have 3 goals for SDI-funded projects:
- Test new ways to deliver services to newcomers to Canada.
- Find ways to improve the Settlement Program.
- Gather evidence to support service improvements across the settlement sector.
How to apply for Service Delivery Improvement funding
We regularly launch new funding processes with unique guidelines and requirements, depending on the nature of the funding opportunity. Any organization in Canada that provides settlement services to newcomers can apply for funding through these processes while they are active.
When we launch a new process, we include detailed funding requirements and instructions, including webinars, to help guide interested organizations through the process.
Check our funding page for more information on the latest funding processes.
