February 29, 2024
The instructions were updated to provide clearer guidance for manual verifications.
Information was also added stating that as of January 30, 2024, all post-secondary designated learning institutions (DLIs) must verify the letter of acceptance or letter of enrolment submitted in post-secondary study permit applications from within Canada.
A note was also added to advise that the following vocational training programs from the province of Quebec do not require LOA verification as they are considered to be at the secondary level:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS)
- Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS)
- PreWork Training Certificate (PTC)
- Training Certificate for a Semiskilled Trade (TCST)
For these training programs, officers are to follow regular processing procedures for secondary studies.
