Update to Labour Market Impact Assessment exemption codes page
To facilitate access to exemption codes used for unique work situations and the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program, the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exemption codes list has been updated. Changes include the following:
- Lines for unique work situations and their applicable exemption codes have been added to the LMIA exemption codes list.
- An alert message has been added to the program delivery instructions on charitable or religious work (LMIA exemption code C50) indicating this code should no longer be used for camp counsellors.
- The LMIA code C18 for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program is now identified in paragraph R204(c), “Canada-provincial/territorial agreements”.
