Update to the instructions related to the International Experience Canada program
Summary
The program delivery instructions (PDIs) have been updated to reflect the changes to processing and application management of International Experience Canada (IEC) applications.
The implementation of the new dynamic IEC e-application system in November 2015 allows clients to submit their profile to an IEC pool through MyCIC. The system will assess whether they meet basic IEC eligibility requirements before enabling them to submit their profile to the pool and become candidates in the IEC program. Through campaigns managed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), candidates will be invited to submit their complete work permit application to the Department. Once the applications are submitted, the system will assess, based on a series of rules, whether they can be automatically promoted or need to be further reviewed.
This new system design replaces the two-step process of first submitting to the Kompass system, then applying to CIC through MyCIC.
The following PDIs will be soon updated. A second program delivery update will be published to announce those changes.
