Terms and conditions of entry and medical surveillance for individuals with a positive screening test for syphilis
Summary
Effective immediately, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will stop imposing terms and conditions of entry for individuals who tested positive for syphilis during the immigration medical examination (IME), and who provided proof of being adequately treated before the approval of their visa (code M2 S2.04).
Screening for syphilis remains a component of the IME and current procedures remain in effect.
