This section contains policy, procedures and guidance used by IRCC staff. It is posted on the department’s website as a courtesy to stakeholders.
This section describes how to process electronic applications for permanent residence submitted by Canadian experience class (CEC) applicants who were invited to apply through Express Entry.
The CEC is prescribed as a class of people who are skilled workers with work experience in Canada. The class was developed for temporary foreign workers and foreign graduates with qualifying Canadian work experience who may become permanent residents based on their ability to become economically established in Canada and who intend to reside in a province other than Quebec.
