Complete the project concept form
To apply for funding under the Francophone Immigration Support Program (FISP), applicants must fill out a project concept form.
The Project Concept form has 3 parts:
- Part 1 – Information on the funding applicant
- Part 2 – Information on project concept
- Part 3 – Information on funding requested
How to download, save and open this form
- Use your computer. The form may not open on tablets or mobile phones.
- Save the form on your computer in a place you can remember.
- For most Internet browsers, clicking on the link above will automatically download the form.
- If the form doesn’t automatically download, right-click on the link and select “Save as.”
- After you download the form, open it using Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Part 1 – Information on the funding applicant
Question 1 – Name of the organization
Please write your organization’s common name.
Question 2 – Type of organization
Your answer to this question must be one of the following:
- provincial and territorial government
- municipal government
- international organization
- not-for-profit organization, including
- non-governmental organization
- not-for-profit corporation
- community group
- umbrella organization
- regulatory body
- chamber of commerce
- industry association
- professional association
- apprenticeship authority
- post-secondary designated learning institution (DLI)
Question 3 – Name, title and contact information of the contact person
Please include the following information for the project’s contact person:
- name
- title
- address
- telephone number
- email address
The main contact could be a coordinator, a project manager, a director general or other person.
Question 4 – Date the organization was established
Please write the year your organization was established.
Question 5 – Preferred official language of communication
Please write the preferred language of the contact person for your organization for written and oral communication.
- EN means English.
- FR means French.
Part 2 – Information on project concept
Question 6 – Project concept title
Please write a title for your project.
Question 7 a) – Project start date
Please write the expected start date for your project.
Activities cannot begin until your project is approved and an agreement has been signed by the recipient and an IRCC representative.
Question 7 b) – Project end date
Please write the expected end date for your project.
Question 8 – Project description
Please provide a brief description of your project based on the questions below.
- What is the objective of the project (gaps or issues targeted)?
- What activities will you undertake to meet the expected results of the project?
- Which partner(s) are involved in your project’s activities?
Part 3 – Information on funding requested
Question 9 – Funding requested
Please write the total approximate amount of funding requested from IRCC to support your project.
Submit your project concept
Once completed, the project concept must be emailed to CIIF-CIFI@cic.gc.ca. This is Phase 1 of the FISP application process.

The information collected in this form will be retained to maintain a record of your application and will be used to render a decision regarding your project concept.
The information will be administered in accordance with the Privacy Act and the provisions governing the protection of personal information, including the Access to Information Act (ATIA).
