This amending agreement

Between

Her majesty the queen in right of canada
as represented by the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration
(hereinafter referred to as “Canada”)

And

Her majesty the queen in right of ontario
as represented by the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration
(hereinafter referred to as “Ontario”)

WHEREAS Canada and Ontario (the “Parties”) entered into the Canada-Ontario Immigration Agreement (the “Agreement”) dated November 24, 2017;

AND WHEREAS the Agreement provides for the negotiation of additional annexes to the Agreement dealing with French-Speaking Immigrants, Municipal Partnership and International Students, and that the Agreement may be amended to include additional annexes on the written mutual consent of the Parties;

AND WHEREAS the Parties have agreed to amend the Agreement on the terms and conditions hereafter set out;

Now Therefore in consideration of mutual promises and agreements contained in this Amending Agreement and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Parties agree as follows:

1. In accordance with section 12.7.4 of the Agreement, the Agreement is amended to include Annex C: French-Speaking Immigrants; Annex D: Partnership with Municipalities; and Annex E: International Students, attached hereto as Appendices A, B and C, respectively.

2. Sections 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 of the Agreement are deleted and replaced by the following section 3.3.1 alone:

   3.3.1 Together with the General Provisions, this Agreement encompasses the following Annexes:

   • Annex A: Provincial Nominees;
   • Annex B: Foreign Workers;
   • Annex C: French-Speaking Immigrants;
   • Annex D: Partnership with Municipalities; and
   • Annex E: International Students.
3. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement, including without limitation all previously negotiated Annexes to the Agreement, remain unamended and in full force and effect.
4. This amending agreement will take effect on the date that it is signed by the last of the Parties to do so.
