Inauguration of Renovations to the Carrefour-Ressources in Sainte-Anne-Des-Monts

Federal-provincial investment of $46,000

The Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and Germain Chevarie, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Fisheries and Aquaculture), Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister Responsible for the Gaspé Region, and Member of the National Assembly for Îles de la Madeleine, on behalf of Martin Coiteux, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Minister of Public Safety and Minister Responsible for the Montréal Region, took advantage of the inauguration of renovations to the Carrefour-Ressources in Sainte Anne des Monts today to announce government financial contributions totaling $46,000 for the project.

The project involved refitting and renovating the existing Carrefour-Ressources building in Sainte Anne des Monts. More specifically, work included reconfiguring the interior layout, resurfacing the floors, replacing the roof with asphalt shingles, recladding the exterior, replacing five windows, and finishing and insulation work. This work has allowed the organization to provide residents with safer, more suitable facilities.

The cost of the work is estimated to be $69,000. The Carrefour-Ressources in Sainte Anne des Monts will receive $46,000, split equally between the governments of Canada and Quebec, through the Communities Component of the Building Canada Fund (Canada-Quebec). The Carrefour-Ressources will contribute $23,000.
