All pesticides used in Canada must be registered under the Pest Control Products Act. Pesticides are re-evaluated to ensure that they continue to meet health and environmental requirements. Re-evaluation may result in the revocation of a product or product uses. Health Canada may also request changes to a product's label, including risk mitigation measures, use sites and application methods.

Cancelled uses
Stop outdoor use on the following crops:
- Leafy vegetables (crop group 4)Footnote *
- Potatoes
- Highbush blueberry
- Tobacco
- Rhodiola rosea
- Outdoor ornamental plants
- Christmas trees
Only uses in greenhouses are maintained.
Other risk reduction measures
- Update of the personal protective equipment (PPE) required
- For ornamental plants grown in greenhouses for the production of cut flowers:
- Maximum spray volume of 1,000 L of solution/ha
- Reduction of the maximum application rate
- For greenhouse vegetables, maximum spray volume of 2,000 L solution/ha
- Addition of a statement that prohibits the contamination of aquatic habitats by the discharge of effluent or runoff from greenhouses
Users must follow the instructions on the updated labels.
Using a pesticide contrary with the label directions is a violation of the Pest Control Products Act.
