Nutrition Science Advisory Committee (NSAC)
A strong science foundation is a key element used by scientists, researchers, regulators and policy analysts at Health Canada, who rely on the most up-to-date scientific data to inform decision-making that affects the health and safety of Canadians. High quality scientific evidence supports Health Canada's policy development, regulation of products, and provision of services.
The NSAC, created in September 2020, will provide Health Canada with timely and independent scientific and technical advice related to nutrition, including current and emerging research within the field.
